Your nonemergency medical transportation (NEMT) services
We make it easy to get to all your medical appointments. You can use NEMT when your condition prevents you from getting to your appointment by car, bus, train or taxi. You must use NEMT when:
- It is physically or medically needed as determined with a written prescription by a physician, dentist, podiatrist, or mental health or substance abuse provider
- You are not able to physically or medically use a bus, taxi, car or van to get to your appointment
- Aetna Better Health approves it in advance with a written prescription by a physician, dentist, podiatrist, or mental health or substance use disorder provider
