Beneficios de la visión

Routine eye exams are a great way to keep your eyes healthy. Enjoy covered eye exams and other vision services for children and adults. Vision care is a value-added benefit. This means we added it to your standard health coverage.

Vision care 

You don’t need a referral to see a provider in our network. Providers can be family eye doctors or retail chains. Algunos, incluso tienen sus consultorios en centros comerciales, con horarios hasta última hora de la tarde y los fines de semana.

 

Services for adults and kids 

 

We work with EyeMed and Louisiana Vision Supplies to provide you with vision care and benefits.

 

Through EyeMed, covered services for kids (birth to age 20) include: 

 

  • Eye exams, including those for vision correction and refraction error
  • Treatment of eye conditions
  • Regular eyeglasses when they meet a certain minimum strength requirement
  • Medically necessary specialty eyewear and contact lenses with prior authorization (PA)
  • Contact lenses if they are the only means for restoring vision

 

Covered services for adults 21 and older include:

 

  • An annual eye exam
  • $150 each calendar year toward eyewear (frames, glass or contact lenses)

 

Be sure to show your member ID cards when you go to your provider visits.
