Medication tips

By AJ Murphy

What do I need to know about my medication?

Taking a new medicine can be a big deal. It’s important to know everything about your medicine before you take it. Here are some questions that you should ask your doctor before starting a new medication:

  • ¿Por qué estoy tomando este medicamento?
  • What does it do for me?
  • How should I take this medicine? For how long?
  • Are there any side effects?
  • Could I have an allergic reaction?
  • ¿Qué debo hacer si tengo un efecto secundario o una reacción alérgica?
  • What will happen if I don’t take this medicine?
